The rich cultural heritage of the Zulu nation is expressed in the magnificent beehive structure of the bedrooms of this battlefields lodge, each offering spectacular views over the 2000 hectare Kingdom safaris. The floor to ceiling thatched roofs are intricately woven with locally thatched grasses to create a perfectly insulated roon, keeping guests cool in the summer months and warm in the chilly winters. Each of the 6 battlefields lodge suites is named after the mountain it overlooks making ones balcony an ideal place to relax and appreciate the rugged beauty of this historically rich area.
Game drives are available on the reserve which is home to Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, a variety of antelope and many smaller species.
There are challenging roads and tracks that can be explored on your own mountain bike.
The reserve is home to abundant plains of Game. Morning and evening game drives and walks are offered and there are excellent bird watching opportunities.
Guest are free to walk on the reserve either with a guide or on their own
